I find this very impressive. It's a soft hat that goes hard on impact; a soft-hardhat if you will.
It's designed by an ingenious company in bern. Apparently they're not all slow down there.

I checked out their website in the hope that I could get one instead of a helmet as I have been threatened to be banned from skiing without the latter - seems that they don't recommend themselves for this though. HMPH!
